Throughout this website you will see LEGENDcom mentioned.
So what is LEGENDcom and how is it of benefit to you?.
LEGENDcom is an online database of migration and citizenship legislation policy. It is an essential resource library of these materials, and is available only on subscription. It is used in Australian Embassies throughout the world.
LEGENDcom contains current and historical versions of the following:
- Migration Act 1958 and associated Migration
Regulations (since 1 September 1994).
- Citizenship Act 1948 and associated Citizenship
Regulations (since 10 April 1997).
- Other Migration and Citizenship related legislation.
- Procedures Advice Manual 3.
- Migration Series Instructions.
- Legislative Instruments (including Section 499
Directions and Gazetted Notices)
Updates are made on an ongoing basis and changes are made on the day they come into effect. The advantage to us is that we are up to date.
The advantage to you is that we give you up to date information, the same information that the Embassy uses.
So if some person or agency offers to process your case, ask them at the beginning, “DO YOU HAVE LEGENDcom?”.
If they do not have it, DON'T take chances with out of date information.
