Only agents registered with the New Zealand Immigration Advisers Authority and
providing services according to the IAA Code of Conduct may have applications
accepted by the Embassy.
The registered Immigration Adviser with this Consultancy is Donald Bruce Watson,
Register Number 201002385, and he covers the following categories of visa.
1. Visitors Visas
For general tourism purposes, or for visiting relatives and events. This is often known
as a “Tourist Visa” or a “Holiday Visa”.
2. Group Visas
For groups of visitors who will travel to, and leave New Zealand together. The visa is
placed on a group visa form with all the names of the people in the group.
3. Business Visitors
For business visitors who will discuss and negotiate business arrangements in New
Zealand. And who will not be in New Zealand for more than three months in any one
year period.
4. Partners and Dependent Children of students or work visa holders.
For partners and dependent children, they can be granted visitor visas with the same
duration as the partner or the parents’ stay.
5. Dependent Children of Essential Skills work visa holders
For the dependent children to be with their parent in New Zealand for short visits only.
6. Partners of New Zealand citizens or resident class visa holders
For partners in a genuine and stable relationship which leads to Residence. This is
granted in New Zealand.
7. Dependent Children of N.Z citizens or resident class visa holders
For dependent children, they will be given visitor visas if their parents will be in New
Zealand for the same length of time and they will be supported by their parents.
8. Children entering New Zealand for adoption
For children entering New Zealand for the purpose of adoption, the initial visa will allow
a stay of up to 6 months.
9. Visas for children adopted overseas before their New Zealand citizenship is
granted.
For these children, if their New Zealand citizenship has not been approved yet, they
can apply for visitor visas.
10. Visas for purpose of culturally arranged marriages
For an intended spouse, a visitor visa is granted to allow entry to meet the
requirements of New Zealand cultural minorities. The applicant must marry his/her
intended spouse within a month of arrival.
11. Medical Treatment visas
For those people who have been accepted for and able to pay for their medical
treatment or consultation in New Zealand. They have to complete a form, provide
information about their treatment and show evidence that they can finance the
treatment.
12. Medical Treatment visas - further stay
For those people where further medical treatment is needed, the visa may be
extended beyond the initial 6 months.
13. Escorts for those on medical treatment
For escorts of patients entering New Zealand for medical treatment. Their visa should
be the same length as the patient’s stay.
14. Medical treatment escorts - further stay
They will be granted an extension of time for the patient’s further treatment, provided
they meet the other requirements.
15. Emergency Medical Treatment Visas
For those people in emergency situations such as immediate transfer of patient to
New Zealand or a passenger or crew member on a ship or aircraft has an accident or
sudden illness, they can be given this type of visa.
