EDUCATIONAL (418)
Visa 418 is intended for persons offered temporary appointment to a position:
•   At an Australian tertiary institution or research institution
•   As an academic, librarian, technician, laboratory demonstrator; or
•   To undertake research; or as a teacher at an Australian school or technical college.

EMERGENCY (Temporary Visa Applicant) (303)
Visa 303 is mainly intended to facilitate the travel to Australia of persons:
• Who have applied for a principal visa (certain substantive permanent or temporary visas); and
• For whom in respect of that principal application (i.e. the application for the principal visa) there are remaining criteria to be satisfied e.g.
one or more public interest criteria; and
•   Who can demonstrate an urgent and compelling need to travel to Australia; and
• In respect of whom there is no reason to believe that remaining criteria will not be satisfied after their entry to Australia.

ENTERTAINMENT (420)
The Entertainment (subclass 420) visa is for certain persons involved in the entertainment industry, including:
• Performers for film, television, opera, ballet, circuses etc and
• Entertainers whether intending to perform commercially or non-commercially, as well    as:
• Support personnel to the above and
• Non-performing production/technical personnel for productions to be shown in, or concerts or recordings to be performed in, Australia
