It provides the opportunity for persons who spent most of their childhood in Australia as permanent residents, and who had been taken back as minors to their homelands by their parents, to re-migrate to Australia.
MEDIA & FILM STAFF (423)
Visa 423 is intended for persons seeking temporary stay as:
• Professional media staff members of overseas news organizations (print, radio, TV or film media) assigned to Australia as accredited representatives of that organization (e.g. as their foreign correspondent);
• Media and film staff approved under a country-to-country agreement to which Australia is a party or:
• Television or film crew, including actors, production and support staff`and still-photographers, involved in the production of documentary programs (or commercials) exclusively for use outside Australia.
MEDICAL TREATMENT (Long Stay) (685)
This Medical Treatment visa (MTV) is for persons who wish to visit or stay in Australia for more than 3 months to:
• Undertake medical treatment (including consultation)
• Receive an organ transplant
• Donate an organ
This visa also caters for certain onshore unsuccessful visa applicants`who are unfit to leave Australia.
