- Who have skills, which will broaden and enhance the economic base of the Australian labour force. It is the applicant who is directly related to the sponsoring Australian relative who:
i) Is the applicant who must satisfy primary criteria; and
ii) Must satisfy the schedule 6A General Points Test, although the spouse may contribute their employability" in certain cases.
SKILLED – INDEPENDENT (175)
This visa provides for the entry of unsponsored persons from a range of employment backgrounds who have skills which will broaden and enhance the economic base of the Australian labour force. Among other prescribed criteria, applicants must satisfy a point test, comprising an employability factor, skill, age and English language skills sub - factors.
SKILLED – SPONSORED (176)
It provides for the entry of certain relatives of Australian residents (Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens), namely:
i) Parents who do not meet the (visa 103) balance of family test;
ii) Non - dependent adult children;
iii) Adult siblings, nephews or nieces;
SKILLED – INDEPENDENT (175)
This visa allows you to migrate to Australia if you have good English skills and have kills and qualifications in an occupation in need in Australia.
This visa uses a points test to select visa applicants with characteristics needed in the Australian labour market.
You do not require sponsorship to apply for this visa.
SPORT (421)
The 421 visa provides for the temporary entry of sports persons who currently participate at national competition level or higher.
The Sport visa is to improve the quality of sports in Australia through participation in high-level competition and training with Australian residents.
The categories of sports persons covered by the 421 visa are:
• Individuals or sporting groups (and their support staff) taking part in specific sports events or contests;
• Players, coaches and instructors (and their support staff) joining an Australian sports club, team or similar organization;
• Participants undertaking a structured sports training program in Australia;
• Sports instructors entering under a business arrangement with an organization in Australia (e.g. skiing, martial arts) or
• Show/competition judges and adjudicators.
SPOUSE (100)
This visa is for persons who apply offshore for a permanent visa as the spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen - in this
document, the “Australian partner”. For these applicants, the visa 100 is applied for offshore, but is usually granted onshore.
